For me this quote is about taking chances and creating change so that self-limiting beliefs don’t hold me back.
Without going into a great deal of detail, so you don’t get bored out of your mind, I do want to share a few things with you about limiting beliefs continuing somewhat with last week’s Weekly Wisdom and podcast.
Obviously children don’t just learn from their primary caregivers, they also pick up lots of things from outside the home. However the role modeling you receive from your primary family during your most formative years are what will be the most influential in your life.
This more often than not, is also how adults end up with a list of perceived beliefs that can become threats to success and emotional well-being. Limitations however, really are only in your mind.
Just imagine…If the Wright brothers had allowed themselves to be limited by their thinking, we might never have had air travel today. Richard Branson of Virgin Airlines was told he would never be successful because he had dyslexia. If he had decided to just give up, he would not have become the billionaire he is today.
These people decided to move beyond their thinking and messages from the past. You can do this too!
If you are going to have stories running around in your head, at least make them good ones so they work for you in a positive, productive way.
