Last week I talked about Persistence and Patience, #3 of the four cornerstones is Perception.
How you perceive things in life can be negative or positive. Your perception influences your own behavior and the behavior of others around you. Your perception is also going to have an effect on how you live your life.
You might hear something a certain way that someone says, yet that may not be at all what they mean. Your perception and theirs can be completely different even when it’s about the same thing.
I had a client, let’s call her Jill, who constantly found herself getting defensive when she was asked a question, whether it was in her personal life or about her work. This kind of defense mechanism can really create a problem in life, just as it did for her.
If you would like to hear how Jill made the changes in how she perceived what she heard and/or saw, listen to the podcast.
‘Til Next Time
Have a peaceful week
